Steven Littlehale

Steven Littlehale has more than 25 years' experience as a long-term care professional beginning as a nurse assistant and leading to his work as an advance practice nurse, educator, researcher and consultant. He is a board certified specialist in gerontology and a nationally-known lecturer and consultant with numerous publications. Steven holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Vermont and a Master of Science from Georgetown University.

Cheryl Field

Cheryl Field has more than 25 years' experience in professional nursing specializing in rehabilitation in the acute and sub-acute areas, with particular concentration in reimbursement. Cheryl has held many roles including nurse manager, program manager, Medicare nurse specialist, utilization coordinator and director of clinical services. Cheryl is a certified specialist in rehabilitation nursing and a nationally-known lecturer and consultant. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Rochester and a Master of Science in Nursing from Boston College.

Nancy Augustine

Nancy Augustine has more than 30 years' experience in long-term care serving as a Director of Nursing, Vice President for Clinical Services and a clinical manager with a large accounting firm. Nancy provides account management support and oversees the clinical aspect of healthcare and risk management services for PointRight. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Villa Maria College and a Master of Science in Nursing from Gannon University.

Paola DiNatale

Paola has been with PointRight since 2005 as an expert in quality improvement services and clinical program development, CCRC and single SNF facility operations analysis, due diligence, long term care survey and certification process, assisted living operations improvement, and Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement. She received her Master's in Nursing - Clinical Nurse Specialist in Gerontology from Gwynedd Mercy College, Gwynedd, PA; a Bachelor's in Psychology from Chestnut Hill College; and a Nursing Diploma from Chestnut Hill Hospital School of Nursing.

Melissa Fedun

Melissa is an expert in CCRC and SNF operational analysis, regulatory compliance, survey preparedness, due diligence, and quality improvement processes and programs. Melissa has worked in long term care since 1995 and has held various positions including Director of Nursing and Clinical Consultant specializing in RUG III reimbursement and the Resident Assessment process. She holds a Bachelor's in Nursing from Waynesburg University.

Jennifer Gross

Jennifer Gross's experience in the nursing field includes work in psychiatric rehab and in long term care as a staff nurse, MDS coordinator, and as a consultant. Jennifer has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts at Boston.

Pam has enjoyed 27 years in the healthcare field. A second career for her, she worked her way from a certified nursing assistant through the long term care ranks to become a leader in clinical reimbursement and compliance for several large long term care providers. Pam has a B.A in Advertising from Michigan State University and an MSN in Community Health Nursing from the University of Southern Maine.

Danielle McCarthy has more than 12 years' experience working in the technical support industry. Prior to PointRight, McCarthy worked for The Boston Globe in a technical support role and for LogMeIn in a client retention capacity. She holds a degree in Legal Studies from Baystate College.

Autumn Grimes has been an RN for more than 18 years and has been with PointRight since 2007 within account management and business development. As a National Account Manager, Autumn directs clients to operationalize PointRight services. Autumn was a Clinical Consultant and Director of Nursing for a large healthcare company prior to joining PointRight.

Janine Savagetop

Janine Savage

Janine Savage, RN, RAC-CT, CHC is a National Account Manager with PointRight. She has over 20 years of experience in LTPAC and health IT and is proficient in the areas of clinical services, quality management, the revenue cycle, clinical informatics, and IT. She has also served as a Clinical, EMR, and Financial Systems Implementation Project Manager and co-authored the “Savage-Gutkind Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model for Long-Term Care,” which has been used as an industry standard and has been cited in multiple white papers, publications, and presentations. Janine has presented extensively on health information technology and EHR implementation in LTPAC at state and national conferences. She is certified in healthcare compliance through the Health Care Compliance Board and in 2013, served as an expert reviewer of a compliance manual for the American Association of Nurse Assessment Coordination (AANAC).

Jen Tagliaferro has more than 12 years' experience in healthcare with a focus on account management and strategic partnerships. Prior to PointRight, Jen was an account manager for a large healthcare company. Jen has experience working with a variety of healthcare providers including long term care and home health care. Jen holds a Bachelor of Science from University of New Hampshire and a MBA from Plymouth State University.

Jeff Merselis has more than 20 years' experience in healthcare management and business development. He oversees PointRight's healthcare sales, business development and account management activities. Jeff holds a bachelor's degree from Union College and an MBA from Northeastern University.

Tom Laurino has more than 13 years' business development experience and is responsible for healthcare analytics sales and managing relationships between PointRight and state healthcare organizations. Before joining PointRight he helped organizations understand and optimize their risk management, compliance, and financial profiles. Cheryl Caswelltop

Cheryl Caswell

Cheryl Caswell, Vice President of Research, joined PointRight in 2008 after serving as Director of the Survey Research Center (SRC) at the New England Research Institutes from 1987 until 2008. Cheryl has more than twenty-five years of experience in all phases of research. She currently works with the Research Team on the analyses of MDS data and facility–level CASPER data. These data are used in the development of predictive models for the healthcare and insurance industries and for the Payer Group (e.g., re-hospitalization, staffing to acuity, and professional liability). Previously, in her NERI role, she directed numerous research projects for The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services; the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases; the National Institute on Aging, and for several universities and private institutions throughout the United States. Cheryl received her MBA from Boston University and her BA from Wheaton College.
Stanley Wangtop

Stanley Wang

Stanley Wang, MA, MS, Senior Research Analyst , joined PointRight in 2007. In his current position, he provides custom analyses for the HealthCare client base, and works on the development of predictive models focusing on re-hospitalization and the placement of residents discharged from the hospital either to home (with home health services) or a SNF environment. Stanley has more than 10 years of experience working with both the MDS data and the facility-level CASPER data. He has contributed to articles and posters on a variety of topics including "Survival in end stage renal disease", in the Journal of Clinical Pharmacy and Therapeutics, "Rural Veterans with Mental Illness Experience Greater Disease Burden and Mortality than Urban Counterparts", at the World Psychiatric Association Thematic Conference, among many others. Stanley holds a BS in Computer and Information Science from The Ohio State University, his MS degree in Actuarial Science and his MA in Mathematics, with a concentration in Statistics, from Boston University. 
Thomas Martintop

Thomas Martin

Thomas Martin MS, Senior Research Analyst, received both his BS in Resource Economics and his MS in Applied Econometrics from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and joined PointRight in 2009. In his role he is responsible for working on predictive models for re-hospitalization for long-stay SNF residents, staffing-to-acuity models and Medicare and Medicaid ROI for the HealthCare client base. He also provides research analyses for the Payer Group and recently presented on "Using Structured Post-Acute Assessment Data as the Raw Material for Predictive Modeling" at the Predictive modeling Summit held in Washington, DC on November 13-14, 2014. He was a presenter at the AHCA Quality Symposium on the topic of "Practical Strategies for Understanding and Using Data to Improve Performance" and at various state association meetings. His prior experience includes working as a Research Assistant for the University of Massachusetts, and also teaching statistics at UMass-Amherst. Since 2009, he has taken on responsibility for the day-to-day direction of PointRight's Research Interns.
Scott Magnonitop

Scott Magnoni

Scott Magnoni, MS, Research Analyst, joined PointRight in February 2012 after receiving his MS in Resource Economics from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Currently, Scott contributes to the Payer Group with the design of diagnosis-specific models to better predict outcomes as a result of hospital discharges to various nursing homes. Scott is also the primary researcher for the Insurance Team where he updates and maintains the predictive model quantifying relative professional liability risk for all nursing homes across the country. Scott is also designated as the "point person" for facility-level CASPER data (from CMS).
Anna Nicolaoutop

Anna Nicolaou

Dr. Anna Nicolaou joined PointRight as a Lead Statistician in 2013. Her work focuses on applications of advanced statistical methods in health care research, including causal inference and propensity score weighting, hierarchical logistic and Poisson modeling frameworks for prediction and provider profiling, survival analysis, regularized likelihood and boosting procedures. Prior to joining PointRight, Dr. Nicolaou was an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University and for almost two decades served on the faculty of the University of Macedonia, Greece. She has participated in a number of research projects financed by the European Commission and published in international peer-reviewed journals contributing to the foundations and properties of Bayesian methods of statistical inference.  Dr. Nicolaou received her PhD in statistics from Yale University and a BSc in Mathematics from Aristotle University, Greece.
Sophie O'Brientop

Sophie O'Brien

Sophie O'Brien, MS, Assistant Research Analyst, joined PointRight in September of 2014. In her current role, Sophie is responsible for working on predictive models for short and long stay SNF residents. She also assists in the data management and distribution of facility-level data from CMS, staffing-to-acuity reports and other research activities. Sophie holds her MS degree in Biostatistics from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and a BA in Economics from Saint Michael's College. Her prior experience includes working as a Research Assistant performing data management and analysis for the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in various departments-public health, nutrition and service learning.

Laura Capone is Senior Executive Assistant and Office Manager for PointRight. She has been with the company for over 11 years, supporting the CEO and Founder, the Board of Directors and the senior leadership team. She attended Northeastern University. In her personal time, she enjoys dance and traveling.

Barbara Clougherty

Barbara Aldrich-Clougherty joined PointRight in 2012 as the Business Operations Administrator. For the past 25 years she has worked in the finance, actuarial, construction, property management and secondary education industries but most importantly pursued the rewards of knowledge, dedication and hard work. While working for some phenomenal companies throughout her career she has held several leadership positions including Chief Operating Officer and Vice President but most importantly learned the power of great teamwork and technology. She oversaw the property management of Braeburn Nursing Home and is a consultant and implementer of Yardi Systems. She enjoys working on charity events and loves traveling, cooking and spending quality time with her friends and family.
Susanne Currytop

Susanne Curry

Susanne Curry has been working as the Receptionist and Administrative Assistant for the Healthcare Team since 2013. In addition to welcoming all who enter PointRight doors, Susanne assists with phones, contracts, travel, meetings and events. Susanne has a B.A. from Clark University with a major in International Relations. After college she held various administrative positions in the Boston area. Prior to PointRight, she was a Coordinator/Case Manager for refugees from Africa, Bhutan, and Iraq at the International Institute of NH. She loves travel and languages, theatre, music and dance.
