Privacy Policy

What Does "Remember Me" Mean?

When you Log In to PointRight and check the 'Remember Me' box, your Facility/Organization ID and your PointRight User Name will be stored in a cookie on your computer. This cookie is only accessible from the PointRight Web site. When you return to the site, using the same computer that previously stored the cookie, the Facility/Organization ID and PointRight User Name will be retrieved and displayed in the proper text boxes. This option is provided for your convenience by PointRight so that you will only need to type your Password to enter the PointRight Web site on subsequent visits.

If you haven't accessed the PointRight Web site for a month or longer, we will ask you to re-enter your Facility/Organization ID, your PointRight User Name and Password.

If you decide you no longer want PointRight to 'remember' your Facility/Organization ID and your PointRight User Name, simply uncheck the box the next time you Log In.

Note: If you use a shared computer, you may not want to check the 'Remember Me' box as other users will have to change the Facility/Organization ID and the PointRight User Name before attempting to Log In.

Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) is a Federal law that allows a person to qualify immediately for comparable health insurance coverage when they change their employment relationships. Title II, Subtitle F, of HIPAA gives HHS the authority to mandate the use of standards for the electronic exchange of health care data; to specify what medical and administrative code sets should be used within those standards; to require the use of national identification systems for health care patients, providers, payers (or plans), and employers (or sponsors); and to specify the types of measures required to protect the security and privacy of personally identifiable health care information. This section is also known as the Kennedy-Kassebaum Bill, the Kassebaum-Kennedy Bill, K2, or Public Law 104-191.

The process by which PointRight exchanges private data electronically is compliant with all regulations set forth by HIPAA. For additional information on HIPAA, please visit: http://www.hhs.gov/ocr/hipaa/.
