Risk Analysis
PointRight performs a detailed analysis of the risk level and risk management issues for each facility being considered by one of our insurance partners. We analyze risk levels for skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities. The analysis is based on electronically transmitted available public data, application information, and claims histories. Other valuable information includes staffing levels, management profiles, survey reports, Quality Indicators, and MDS data.
A litigation risk score is determined based on our proprietary litigation risk model. Each facility receives a customized risk management recommendation that is linked to the specific risk management issues identified by the analysis. Services are proposed to improve those specific areas of risk. Quarterly monitoring is provided to demonstrate risk management performance.
At insurance policy renewal, updated data is transmitted and the organization is reanalyzed using all available information. The results go to the underwriters via electronic transmission and the renewal premium reflects the progress the facility has made during the year. There are no surprises because facilities monitor their progress throughout the year.
